Trade on Currency Exchange "completed" without being completed.
First of all, thanks for the currency exchange, that's what I call a great QOL improvement!
In this picture you can see me selling some Fragments. ![]() I listed 214 Fragments for 95 Chaos. Someone bought 2 fragments for 1 chaos, causing the entire listing to be marked as completed. By now, I had a few listings that were only partially completed, but were "marked" as completed and never progressed no matter how long I left them alone, even though my listing was the best listing on the market at the time. IDK if I am doing something wrong here, but I would expect the listing to stay up until all the fragments are sold, or I manually cancel the listing... Thank you and have a great day. You're awesome :) Best regards Flavio Last bumped on Aug 22, 2024, 6:32:27 PM

The issue is the rate you are trying to sell at. Had you listed them evenly at 2.3 per chaos instead of 2.2526 etc, then they would have sold more evenly until the last few due to rounding. Instead, it appears 2 sold for 1c which is more than you had originally asked for and then the remaining order cannot be fulfilled at the rate you wanted.
When listing, I highly recommend only selling at more even ratios instead of trying to min/max currency. I've been doing it like this all league with scarabs and stuff and at most, only the last few will get stuck when doing something like 0.3 or 0.4 if a better ratio is found. I understand the pros and cons of taking the better ratios. But if they didn't, the likelyhood of a single player buying 214 sacrifice fragments is pretty low and then you'd be making a different thread of why my item isn't selling. Versus multiple players buying stacks of 20-30 at a more whole ratio. |

Hmmm... I see what you mean, but I think that is not the issue here, is it?
As you can see, I listed the fragments at a ratio of 2.25 fragments for 1 chaos, with this ratio you could buy 9 fragments for 4c, making it an "even-numbered" trade. For me, this means that I should only run into this problem when the last few fragments can't be sold with my ratio, because I can't sell a fraction of a Fragment. 214/9 = 23.777.... 23*9=207 -> so only 7 Fragments should be stuck at the end, right? Am I missing something? Last edited by Flavoi1#6220 on Aug 22, 2024, 9:00:44 AM

" 214 / 95 = 2.25? No. 2.25 is not the same as 2.2526315. There is no rounding in Exchange. If you wanted a more exact 2.25 ratio, you should have done 207 / 92 or 216 / 96. The part you're still missing is as soon as one sells for a better rate, it bricks the whole rate you wanted when using irregular rates. Sometimes you may get lucky and there is something else still divisible with the rate you wanted and the amount you put in. But if not, you get a massive cancelled offer because there is no way to fulfill 212 fragments at the 2.2526315 etc rate you wanted. |

I see, for some reason I tought it was rounding to 2.25 to avoid exactly such situations, but since it's not it totally makes sense why the trade bricks after selling part of it.
Thanks and have a great day. |
