Not 6 linked after Omen of Connections

Between 13:40 and 13:50 (South African Standard Time), I tried to 6 link The Annihilating Light (had 6 sockets) and it did not work. I did use an Omen of Connections.

It did a 3/3 link but did not connect the middle.

Further details that may help with logs:

Bought 2 Omens of Connections from the Currency Exchange.

Took 2 Orbs of Fusing out of Storage.

Crafted 6 sockets on both the Annihilating Light and Fourth Vow.

Both Omens of Connections were in inventory.

Successfully link The Fourth Vow.

Unsuccessful on linking of The Annihilating Light.

you can only use an omen once per zone. you have to refresh zone to do the 2nd one

Never tried to do this before so I don't know, but I'm just wondering, can't you only use one omen per instance?

Only one omen can be activated per area instance, excluding non-combat areas like towns.

Doesn't explain why the second omen would be consumed though. I don't know, just wondering.

All Omens have the limitation of only being able to use 1 Omen per area. As far as I know, the Hideout still honours this restriction.

Try moving from your Hideout to the Menagerie and trying to use your second Omen of Connections there.

I still don't understand how this works for hideouts. I blanched my helmet this league and used 3 of them consecutively without re-zoning. Others have to re-zone to do the same.

its omens in general, the ones that have cheat death mechanics would be broken.

Yeah don't know, seems a bit confusing. I need some white sockets so i'll try a second one on something else and see if it works or not for me.

I did two blanching on the same item in hideout. Both changed socket colors and added a white socket. Perhaps different items or not blanching omen has something to do with it. Or location other than hideout? Not sure what it might be.
