Gain 1 Rage on melee hit node not working on a specific node

The first node of the "Vengeance" Notable cluster named "Rage on hit" (Gain 1 rage on melee hit) its not working, just geting 3 rage when im hit (from vengeance notable) but not when i hit with smite (melee tag), it does work when i auto attack.-
i used to have the rage on melee hit eldritch implicit on gloves and that one used to work on smite too.-
Edit: it works some times, maybe 1 every 2 sec (insteed 1 every 0.5)
