T17 map completion didn't unlock 6th map slot / Map boss doesn't count as being killed

I did my first T17 after having unlocked the 5th slot via the Maven 10-way, but upon killing the boss nothing happened, i didn't get any notification about unlocking another slot and sure enough, it's not there. The area also shows that 1 monster remains, even though I've run through the entire map multiple times now and can't find any other mobs.

Ok, you could very well be right, i just have no idea what a Valdo's tier 17 vs a regular tier 17 means. How can i tell them apart? I did also rewatch the announcement video that talked about adding the 6th slot before posting and it didn't mention anything about non-valdo maps, just T17.

T17s are purple and have their own map names not based on another map. They do not come from Puzzle Boxes.


The patch notes are clear about the requirement.
