The "new" retaliation skills need something

I made a glad and made a melee build again, i always felt melee was gimped unless you are a meta build, or slam, but hoped this patch would fix the risk vs reward, and create a bit more variety with melee.

So heres my PoB with a bit of shenanigans to push the damage of crushing fist, but I feel like the investment for what I am getting is just not good enough.

The PoB is not 100% but you get the idea of the layout.

The skill is unknown whether to be able to hit twice like eviscerate

The trigger conditions of course mess with dps, but I would expect it to atleast be able to bonk harder to make up for that.

It seems to scale into maps ok but to push it just becomes tedious because of investment into playstyle.

Why no lvl 30 fist on surrender shield on new copies?

The pob is not 100%, but its just looking grim compared to investment and tweaking.

Its just ok to me so far, and I still need to actually get a 6link going and fix my sockets on my actual character, but im debating on going dual wield and just proc bleeds for explodey and give up lucky chance to block.

Any thoughts? Ideas?
