Judgement Staff / Block Attack or Block Spell Damage
Dear all,
I found in the Patch Notes from 3.25 Patch the following line: Ezomyte Staff and Judgement Staff now have +25% Chance to Block Attack Damage while wielding a Staff (previously +20%). I am pretty sure that my Judgement Staff from Necropolis League had "+20% Chance to Block Spell Damage" not Attack Damage. Can anybody help me understand? Many thanks Best Cerri Last bumped on Jul 25, 2024, 6:55:43 PM

I don't think so Cerri. What makes you think that it was spell block? There are some nodes on the passive tree that give spell block while equipping a staff, did you have any of those allocated?

yes it used to be spell block. not sure if bug or oversight
"buff grenades"

Either there is a mistake in the patch notes, or staves now give Block Spell Damage and warstaves give Block Attack Damage.

My Judgement Staffs always used to have 20% Spell Block. Not Attack Block. Thats why I am wondering about these Patch Note from 3.25: Ezomyte Staff and Judgement Staff now have +25% Chance to Block Attack Damage while wielding a Staff (previously +20%). |

I see.
Same update on the wiki https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Judgement_Staff " Strange that it would not say "(previously +20% Spell block)" Seems a bit weird they would change it like that without more explanation. I thought it was Warstaff's blocked attack, regular staff blocked spell. I guess I was wrong by evidence of your staff. Looks like they are changing the uniques aswell. Did anyone figure out if it's going to be attack damage?
" 2.46.0. has updated now to both block attack I believe. How different are the mod pools for rolling staff vs warstaff? Guessing pretty different? Last edited by Belegur85#5784 on Jul 25, 2024, 6:56:13 PM
