Interaction between maim support and reworked banners

Patch 3.25 will introduce a mastery that enables banners to maim. I am wondering if we can support banners with maim support if we have activated this mastery. Common sense would dictate that it should, but perhaps it only works when maim is intrinsic to the skill or enabled by maim itself.

According to the wiki, it still works with Flesh and Stone, so it should work with banners as well.

The Enemies Maimed by Supported Skills take X% increased Physical Damage stacks with Flesh and Stone, increasing the physical damage taken by nearby enemies to maimed enemies in Blood Stance. |

I highly doubt GGG will make banners supportable by Maim gem.
