Ephemeral Edge no damage increase

TL:DR I'm playing an EphEdge build but it appears that the energy shield damage conversion does not apply. There is no target dummy in poe, but my DPS in the dps indicator is exceedingly low. I know the in-game dps indicator is faulty at best, so I did some manual in-game testing. T3 Labyrinth boss took less damage with EphEdge while I had 3K energy shield (which should be +544 max lightning damage which should be 19-54 phys + 1-619 lightning) than with ichimonji unique that is less than a third phys DPS (52-204), and that includes gems to increase elemental damage which ichimonji does none of. The only logical conclusion i can come to is that maybe the EpheEdge ES->LightDam buff is somehow not applying. Sadly, I'm having issues with posting screenshots, but the in-game DPS calc for these 2 weapons is the same, as well as their effective damage, which shouldnt be the case considering the build is based on the following PoB:

For the record, there are over 4000 people using Edge on PoE Ninja, so if there was zero damage increase from that mod, then it would be far more noticeable as some of those players have 20k or more ES.

You're also forgetting that Edge has a 1.3 APS while Ichimonji has a almost 2 APS, making it attack way faster, plus the little boost in damage from 10% aura effect (Wrath). Until you get more ES, like replacing your Evasion chest for ES chest, it is going to be close in terms of DPS. Even a regular claw/dagger with high APS and elemental damage will beat both of those. But the more you go into ES, then Edge will edge ahead again.

Yes, you're probably right. I most likely highly overestimated how much of a DPS increase there should be even at just 3K-ish DPS (very fresh character) so when I didn't see a DPS increase, I immediately thought the damage conversion might have been bugged, but that was explained by the APS. My bad, sorry for the bother.
