Steam client POE all of sudden bad FPS, but stand alone client runs great but crashes all the time

Woke up, logged into POE, no new updates on anything related to my computer, nothing changed, all of a sudden where i normally get 144 frames, I get 30-35. No idea why. Have done tons of trouble shooting. Computer is less than one year old, even did a complete re-install of windows, I am relatively computer smart even more so when it comes to things related to games, like this problem.

For the firs time ever I downloaded the stand alone client. Stand alone client runs buttery smooth, maybe slightly better than the steam client version to be honest, however it crashes when loading a lot. Sometimes randomly also but 9/10 times on load screen. Sometimes it crashes rapidly, sometimes it runs fine for an hour or two. Did multiple re installs of the game also.

Tested other games, all run fine. Computer hasn't crashed once, its always just the client, never had to re start or anything.

been playing for years. Never had any issues at all. Daily player.

Also have issues with crashing all the time since last update. Reinstalled the game, crashing couple of times per map, bluscreened twice. Hopefully it will be fixed before next league launch...
Post some specs up of your setup.
CPU, GPU + firmware, motherboard model, windows version + os build

If your pc is up to date with all drivers, bios, chipset, windows updates and you're on dx12 or dx11 (depending on your pc), this game should run perfectly fine with no crashing.

If you are bluescreening you have a different issue. I know this seems as if the game is causing it and a lot of players believe it, but it's usually caused by system instability. Not all games / software tax the system the same.

Two perfect examples are a few of the recent nvidia driver releases and the 13th/14th gen Intel CPU issues.

Blue screen crashes or pc reboots that are not manually done by you can most of the time be seen in Event Viewer.

Win Key > Event Viewer > Windows Logs > System
You're looking for any red Critical errors that were logged right before the crash.

And as far as the Standalone Client vs Steam Client ... I've heard this before and I've recommended players troubleshoot by installing the Standalone if they are on Steam first.

The blue screen crashes are concerning obviously. Game crashes to desktop are a little more straight forward. Both require PC info for someone here to help troubleshoot.. let us know :)
