Can I divine this Legacy Item ?

What would happen if I used a Divine orb on this:

"

I can confirm Divine orb does not turn it into modern version and it will not get -4 max resist. It rerolls the primary stat, as you can see below I rolled it into perfect 70.

Divining is safe, Thanks.

This is all I can see on the wiki

3.19.0
The Melding of the Flesh Unique Jewel now has -4% to -6% to all Maximum Elemental Resistances. This change does not affect existing versions of this Unique.

Might need to check 3.19 patch notes if someone doesn't know the answer. I don't know if all legacy items update with Divine or just some of them, the wiki for legacy items doesn't mention it either, just has a list of all the legacy versions.

I would bet if you divine it, you will get the minus max res added to it.

hoho I would say it should be fine but I'd wait to see if GGG chimes in.

Only assuming this cause

-The Soul Taker Unique Axe now has 140-180% increased Physical Damage (previously 100-140%), and Adds 30 to 40 Physical Damage (previously 10 to 20). Existing versions of this unique can be updated using a Divine Orb.

Melding doesn't have that line. And patch notes from 3.19 don't mention a divine orb doing anything to it unfortunately.

Found this on the wiki -

https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Drop-restricted_item#Legacyhttps://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Drop-restricted_item#Legacy

"Most legacy items can be updated to their newest stats by using a Divine Orb or
Blessed Orb on it, to create a pseudo legacy variant that may have a combination of legacy mods and newer, better mod value ranges (or in some case, worse mod range). Note that this will not work on unique items that had modifiers added or severely changed, like Kaom's Heart. In that case, a Divine Orb will only change the present mods to the new value (from +1000 life to 500), and not add additional ones (20-40)% increased Fire Damage. These orbs won't work when the base item was changed, either. Thus, remember to use advanced mod description (default PC keybind: Alt button) to check which pseudo legacy variants can be created from using a Divine Orb or Blessed Orb by viewing the current mod value range."

Does anything happen when you look at the advanced mod description? Not sure if I have any legacy items but I'll try and find one and see if it works. The wording "most" is also unclear, doesn't confirm for every case.

Edit: I have a legacy Dialla's Malefacation. The tool tip shows in brackets the new value or range, but I'm not sure how that works with mods that are added/removed, I'll see if I can find something another item. I don't have the jewel to check, is anything coming up on the tool tips?

Wonder if a hinekora's lock would show it.

Interesting.

I have a pre 3.19 version of Heatshiver, It dosen't show any changes on tool tips, so I assume that one remains legacy when divined. Version history for 3.19 Heatshiver says, "A Divine Orb can be used to obtain the new values of modifiers, but cannot be used to gain new modifiers". As previous poster pointed out, some items like Soul taker have "Existing versions of this unique can be updated using a Divine Orb.", another one where the ranges changed. Does any know of some legacy items that change mods and not just value ranges when divined/blessed? As another poster said, "This change does not affect existing versions of this Unique." listed on the melding of flesh version history sounds like you can divine your legacy jewel without it updating, but isn't exactly confirmation. Hopefully someone from GGG can clarify for you.

I know that jewel was highly used during that league, and thus the nerf, so I'm sure there's lots of people that have the legacy version, I think it was being used on RF inquis, so maybe someone that played that build or an updated build guide after the league change has information about it.

Press alt to view the mod range

Press f8 to take screenshot and post here

Divine usually cannot add mod or delete mod , so that you only need to care the mod range
