Cannot change resolution, resets after applying.

Since the patch I immediately tried to lower the resolution, which was automatically set to the highest setting on starting the client. When I lower the lower the resolution or change it and hit 'Keep Changes' then 'Save' the settings it acts as if it did it, but the resolution doesn't go down and despite it reading the settings were changed when I exit the settings and open it again the settings are back to where they were initially.

Simple version would be that settings are not saving, feels like it's ignoring the resolution change request or being overridden.

The resolution setting I choose doesn't matter, I can change it to any resolution and it won't apply anything so I'm stuck at max settings atm.

Since I'm sure I'll get it, yes I'm keeping settings and hitting save after, it does doesn't appear to work even though it does look like it registers the change. The window resolution does read the new setting but the res doesn't go down and when I enter the options again it's back to max settings without any kind of prompt as if no change was ever made.

If you're playing Windowed Fullscreen, the Window Resolution is your fullscreen resolution.

If you want a smaller Window Resolution, play either Windowed or Fullscreen. The function that the old Resolution setting provided in Windowed Fullscreen is now achieved with the Render Resolution setting.



The game should have some indication that changing the Window Resolution in Windowed Fullscreen will have no effect and not allow you to change it, though.

I see, makes sense and I kind of like it. Still, come next league a lot of people will repeat the same issue if it isn't made clear you can't downscale except in windowed mode. There is no notification that it can't do that for me and in fact it doesn't register the save sometimes too. That and the fact a lot of people hate playing in windowed mode.

You may be able to go into the config.ini and change the resolution from there

But to me it looks like the resolution is set to your screen size then you are offered up scaling options, which should look better than native lowered resolution and with a negligible impact on your gaming experience.
