FPS drops at end game always cause me quit playing POE till the next league

I don't know what to post about my specs. I have an I9 cpu 3.6ghz, 64 ram, 4600 geforce cpu. I play POE off an SSD. I lower my settings so they are not overly draining (a lot of them on low). I have the latest drivers. I have watched several utube videos on how to adjust settings to help out. I can play ANY other game without lag or problems of any type but POE endgame when I juice the game up with delusion layers-- dense packs of monsters-- basically Simulacrum lvl 30-- or a good ravaged blight map-- 4 good blood vessels in a high pack map-- my fps drops down to an unplayable level and I end up dying because I can't do anything. This causes me to just abandon the game till next league. I don't understand why such an old game like this is not optimized for a computer with good specs. To be honest-- it works fine up till this. Love playing the game and have played for years now.

Basically, when I want to go to the next level and see if all the time and effort I put into the game will pay off-- I get something unplayable. I can't believe that I'm alone in this boat.

I have this same issue, I've had people tell me its my graphics card/cpu.
Thanks for the Tech support. Have a feeling there is no answer for the problem I have
This exactly. I was building a tornado shot build and the game was fun and all despite the grind but once I actually managed to craft my build and got into endgame content the FUn ended, I had to uninstall the game and change my review score from 9/10 to 1/10 basically.

I am infuriated that there is no statement from the staff about the problems with FPS and optimizations.

Basically I had around 200FPS during leveling up and campaign, once I got into simulacrum and endgame, I had FPS dropping to 20... freezes, and instant deaths, and you dont even see what killed you, it gets even more painful running as a glass cannon build with high dps.

I was told that you need 14900k and 4090rtx to avoid having lags in endgame content. It is sickening that I can play diablo 4 on ultras and 2k resolution without a single lag, any content.

But in PoE on lowest settings I get 20-40FPS in fights. Do I need to tell that PoE Graphics are poor?
I recently asked a streamer about this after giving him a prime subscription and he said that POE specs are insane for endgame. My computer runs anything basically I throw at it. (I don't game in 2k or 4k). If I play endgame juicing it goes to 1FPS at times and then I just die. I guess if you want to play the game into endgame-- just pick something hard that is less demanding? Uber Elder? Regular blight? Maven... pinnacle bosses or lvl 17 maps without big pack size. No simulacrum or juiced maps. Even low level delve gets skippy.
The optimization is still pretty bad on mid/low end systems, it improved a bit since the crucible particle patch but not by a lot, having top end hardware help you maintain a playable level but still if you benchmark that it would look really bad specially in cases of delirium/haunted traitors and pack size, along with your build either spell/projectiles/effects, ever since 3.21.2 patch (July last year).

Iam not actively playing now but i hop on now and then to do a few maps or so also testing the new patches specially when it comes to performance at least now you can have extra potato mode with downscaling but you will still dip below 60 FPS regardless (not due maxing out the hardware just poor utilization).

I remember early this league i had to group with a friend to help him out he was playing Cast on Crit Detonated Dead, i had to tell him to stop using his skill because it was making the game go to 5 FPS it was just making the game unplayable.

blight is weird (on my ryzen 57003xd), had to turn off multithreading(from bios) and it got a lot better.

also if you have rtx4060, you need to be 100% sure that it is running pci-e gen 4 speeds(4@x8), otherwise its gonna ru n very poorly because the line speed is too low (pci-e 3.0 x8 is like 2010 stuff)
