Vaal Rf deals no dmg

Sometimes I have the problem that Vaal RF deals 0 dps the whole duration till normal RF does its job again. Is it because of dps overflow ?

Coruscating Elixir proc'ing will terminate ALL forms of RF.

Unless you're doing Ubers or tankier maps, your RF is DoT capped on its own. And DoT cap in this game is combination of all sources of DoT's in this game on the same target.

You can test this if another DoT build tried to party with you. The same mob that has no change from Vaal RF activation should have no change from their DoT as well if you are already DoT capping on that mob with RF. Add in something like increased res or anything to lower your RF damage to below DoT cap, then the damage from Vaal RF or the other party member will increase, but only up to combined DoT cap, no more.

I dont want or need or even get extra damage from vaal rf. When I have activated rf and then activate vaal rf too, mobs take no damge the full vaal rf duration
