Are FPS generation apps such as "Lossless Scaling" on steam complaint with PoE's ToS?
Hello,
I was just wondering if running apps that increase FPS are compliant with Path of Exile's terms of service. For example: https://store.steampowered.com/app/993090/Lossless_Scaling/ I believe this does not interact with the game but captures your monitor window and upscales the game. I was just wondering if this complies under ToS. Thank you! Last bumped on Aug 25, 2024, 10:44:45 AM

if it touches the game files sans logs, forget about it. not compliant.

"Lossless Scaling" is basically a video recording software that records your screen and applies a filter to it. So technically it shouldn't be an issue.
However, there is some controversy around the tool, especially the steam version and it's still 3rd party so I'd just be careful with stuff like that and probably just stay away from it if you're unsure in regards to PoE. Last edited by Scarletsword#4354 on Jun 8, 2024, 5:02:51 AM

" Yeah that sounds about right. I e-mailed support and they also could not confirm its compatibility. I'll not use it until official confirmation. Thanks. |
