First atlas passive tree, help!
So I'm just starting maps, and now have ANOTHER tree to figure out point spending :)
Just taking a quick look at it, I have no clue how to proceed. Is there a planning site for this tree, similar to PoB for skill passives? Also, to clarify, none of the "extra content" types really excite me all that much (Delve, expeditions, etc), and the Atlas tree seems to be full of just picking those to be more likely on your maps. What to pick if you don't really want to make any of them more likely? Last bumped on Jun 17, 2024, 7:36:31 AM

If you are new to the game, maps may be challenging. You might want to focus on defenses for your first pass. Go for shrine nodes up along the center right. Add scarab nodes and maybe strongboxes. You can change things later or build a favorite content tree with #2

" There is - https://poeplanner.com/atlas-tree Recommendations: Your first tree, whilst completing the atlas, Kirac can help speed up unlocking additional points, primarily the scouting reports. For generic stuff like essences and strongboxes are good consistent loot, atleast 1 per map which you can increase with scarabs. If you're low on scarabs, invest in scarab drop chance. If you like a specific type of content, invest in it. You have 3x trees this league, which is 2 more than anyone has ever had in the past. Have fun with it. Also the first time you can invest in league specific content. |

find a thing you enjoy
use poe planner - or one of the many others if you have no experience i would go right up middle get all the shrine (domination) and strongbox nodes with scarabs You get each mechanic eventually unlocked for free and then you can pick one of them and do that instead. or you can go side questy and be in other kinds of map delve, sanctum, blight, stealing stuff, expedition (logbooks) etc |

If you're learning I wouldn't be too worried about the atlas tree compared to your character tree. Just try and get points that synergies with what your trying to achieve, certainly it can be optimized, but it's a fairly new implementation and mostly relates to farming items or currency efficiently. On the other hand, having a few points out of wack on your character tree can make a big difference and stop you from progressing further into maps. Maybe go for something generic like Kirak or the current league mechanic/blocking content you don't want, untill you find something you want to spec into. Masters are probably good for learning as well and near the start of the tree. Just don't take anything related to bossing until your up to it because it will be wasted. Most players including myself will not be using an optimized tree. It's not super expensive if you do need to change it, and you get to have three trees this league which allows you to try different thing. Getting your character working and learning how the extra content works will be more important than the atlas tree to start off.
