Meta/Fossil Crafting - Should you always gilded fossil? Downside?
I understand the benefits/use of using gilded fossil to add the vendor value implict, for corrupting/synth rolling.
My question is: Is there any downside/reason not to gilded fossil an item that you are going to roll on anyway, even if you dont currently intend to corrupt/synth. Does having the extra implicit block anything? Example: Grave crafted fractured wand. Rolling with perfect fossil, followed by essence. Finishing with bench craft and harvest enchant for quality damage mod. Is there any downside to also gilded fossilizing before essence rolls? I know the extra implicit doesnt block any of the above plans, I just dont know if there is something I am not thinking of that makes it a bad idea for later. I just dont see the implicit added to alot of gravecrafts that I see for sale, so thought there might be a good reason. The only "downside" is that gilded fossils replace the vendor recipe.
This might be an issue for certain Heist base item crafts with fracturing orbs but other than that I can't see why it would ever be an issue. |
