I've been playing only one build for this entire league, and I'm still lvl 94 on it, and I'm not even finished with building it, because I haven't been getting the currency I need, because...guess why? Oh, right! GGG NERFS EVERYTHING AND DESTROYS THE MARKET!!!

The market is controlled by the community, not GGG.
If you fail to make currency in a trade league that's on you, same as being hardstuck with leveling. Affliction league is over and maps won't pump out several div as raw drop per map anymore. Picking up a good farm strategy and playing the market is the only way to make big currency again. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun. I'm just going to say everyone has a different tolerance for ggg's brand of balancing.
If no good items drop in 100 maps (for example), then they may bounce. Not everyone wants to do thousands of maps in a league. I think it is silly to ignore criticism based on how long they played, or how good/bad the gear is. Sure characters could be improved, but is a little besides the point. The point op made is that they didn't get enough currency to get or make the gear they wanted to play the character they were planning out, and the nerfs affected the market in a negative way for them. Who knows how true this is? All I am saying is to consider the point irregardless of the poster instead of disregarding it completely because they have bad items or a scuffed tree. |

Not like when people are supposed to watch 3rd party sites for build guides, then use 3rd party tools to plan those builds, then watch 3rd party sites for good farming strats, then use 3rd party trading tools to convert farming strats into currency into items for their build. Where exactly is the scarab importance tutorial in game, maybe I was missing it all this time? |

I agree that scarabs should be featured in a tutorial or rather something that showcases the usage like the map device in act 7.
I always thought it was obvious enough if something was so readily available like scarabs this league but apparently that's simply not enough. Sadly, wrong expectations about loot from videos remain which is even more common now than it used to be. |
