Ngamahu's Flame + Animate Weapon of Self Reflection

So I'm, about 65% sure I know the answer...but I wanted to check anyways.

Does anyone know if the Molten Burst ability on Ngamahu's Flame triggers when used by an Animated Weapon of Self Reflection? My testing points to "no", and the wiki states "minions can't trigger the skill", but my little girlish heart desperately wants this to work, heh. Currently using Oro's Sacrifice for a AWoSR build and it's a lot of fun, but those flame and physical increased-damage-taken debuffs suck and Molten Burst could let me trade Melee Splash for actual damage. Plus it's just an outrageously cool idea.

Anybody have good news and I'm just unobservant looking for Molten Burst hits, or am I just SOL?
