D4 bad... meanwhile...
Can't see sh*t on the ground in this game so nearly impossible to avoid certain things. So I guess it all depends on what your definition of bad would be.
Explain to me how I am supposed to see Tora's poison pods on the ground when a delirium mirror is active and there are so many other ground effects going on? Lack of visual clarity isn't what I would call "hard" it's just poor game design. I remember when games were hard because graphics were bad or the character controls were sub par. Staying on tora's poison doesn't really do anything.
So lets play shall we; You have -chaos resist I don't even need to POB it. Sure visual clarity is shit but you can always have a safety net which you don't have. Now lets double down say if you did have positive chaos resist say 10 even the only way to die vs tora is if you rolled terrible mods in combination with Delrium. In short. Get better defenses despite the clarity of this visual clutter YOU'RE STILL ABLE TO FIX IT. once again there's nothing wrong with POE at all that can't be blamed on the player.
POE is perfection incarnate beyond reproach the feedback forum is only for positive feedback or deliberately provoking anyone who posts unflattering feedback anything you find lacking about the game is a you problem. No but seriously I agree POE has among the worst visual clarity of any game in existence, which is almost universally acknowledged among the POE community ofc. Except ofc by people who want to pretend its a player problem. The VFX in POE have the distinct feel of stuff made outside of the game in whatever 3d Studio Max or something but only looked at briefly in game. Have you seen the lightning Tornado? Thats a VFX that the artist has cast in game MAYBE one time if even that and never looked at again. You can't convince me that an artist cast that thing even 3 or 4 times there's zero chance. Oh and the cold Tornado? nearly invisible. Like hard to tell its on the screen. One is perhaps the most obnoxious skill effect in the games history and the other is nearly Static Strike levels of imperceptible and THEY'RE IN THE SAME GEM! Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years. |

Comically D4 has gotten considerably worse with visual clarity. Least in Helltides. That's what happens when you add enemy density though. I was outspoken against it every time players brought it up in beta. It's still far better and butter smooth.
I have to admit. Helltides are a lot more fun than they were in season 1. Even if they mostly just copied the GTA alert star system. On another note. Outside this PoE league where enemies can roll Damage as extra Chaos. You can actually get away with negative Chaos resists. You need to be spry but it can be done. If you have decent sustain most sources can't overcome it. Degen when you can't leech/LoH being the worse cases. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac

No shocking surprise that the league has only a small amount of players. If it wasn't all for PoE2 we would almost already head into the next league with teaser and such by now. Flames and madness. Incorrect feedback about a REAL problem deserves to be called out: Cocobutter said in his response that he AGREES visual clarity is crap....but everything else in the OP is simply wrong. I would argue its the OP that is gaslighting....trying to equate player-controlled issues with "visual clutter", a real problem. And he was called out immediately on his gaslighting. A human being who has played the game for the thousands of hours telling you the problem is not feedback. Feedback is when the game tells you whats happening to you through a combination of visual language, actual language, and feel. |
