Necropolis League feedback

Just wanted to talk about my experiences with the league, some points here might be known already, so its more like a personal summary.

TL;DR:

Embers are amazing. Necropolis crafting is very unsatisfying. Haunted/devotion mods could maybe be a league mechanic similar to delirium on a map.


I think embers are amazing and should stick around, so you can add special packs to your maps or replace really difficult mob packs. Drop rate could be reduced and the "increase drop chance" for them stay in the atlas tree.

Necropolis crafting i dont really like, as it takes a long time and makes the resulting items not feel that rewarding imo, as its like a cheat-code doe just create the items directly. Also it devalues most other league mechanic rewards, as you can get much better items much cheaper via necro crafting than for example with essences.

Also gathering the corpses to craft something feels much more cumbersome than anything and after having like 3 full quad stash tabs and like 5 normal stash tabs full of corpses. I dont really want to collect anymore, but currently there is no way of deactivating the drop of corpses from what i know.

haunted/devoition mods on monster could be a special mechanic you activate on atlas or some maps have an implicit mod like "monsters ha haunted/devotion modifiers", which would then increase the rarity/quantity for those packs, instead of ember/corpse drops.

At this point I am pretty sure GGG intentionally making it as annoying and cumbersome for players so they can feel and enjoy the "weight of their actions".

• Allflames and corpses should not have any levels. Period.
• Corpses should be like normal item drops and both flames and corpses should be stackable. Period. Blocking half screen with them is a mind boggling decision.
• Corpses should be able to be filtered out by the game filter. Period.
• Corpsecraft inventory should be not 60+ but 88 slot. Period. Also it is stupid decision.
• T17 is a pure mess. Except bosses. Bosses are nice.
• Uber Fragment farming is annoying.
• 5th atlas slot lock behind T17 is nonsense.

GGG deserved this bad league retention and I can reflect back at them Mark's words - "Deal with it". You reap what you sow.

I will keep loving this game even when they make my play time miserable. But sometimes, especially lately, game gives me aneurysm.

Good point with t17, i barely engaged with them, because my build really struggles with them.

I can clear t16 80% delirium no problem, but t17 just completely fck me over.


Also i wanted to add, that the corpses on the floor block the loot around them, so you are kind of forced to pick them up, so you get a clear vision of the loot you actually want to pick up.
I am wondering if this sorry state of affairs and balance is where they want to leave poe1. At some point they are going to stop development or outsource it to one of those mmo graveyard management company. Ot all depends on profitability.

Like putting all the gear in the last 5% of the game is a poor choice. Esoecially if "crafting" just doesn't work well. To many failure points.

GGG being so close to good tragically makes it so much worse.
