Twink leveling Splitting Steel Trickster

Soon I will have all my ES gear to run SS Trickster, now I am planning some smooth sailing through campaign and early maps towards ~70 lvl when I will be able to equip all the gear.
Do you have any skill gem/builds recommendations that can be run in campaign for decent damage and good speed? Probably some lightning attack? I played Lightning Strike before the nerf and even back then it wasn't good early on, I don't think Smite is good either, but maybe I am wrong. Maybe hollow palm with some skill with lightning conversion?
