Purity of Elements -- not an "Elemental Gem"?

Feedback is implied.

I noticed this (lack of) interaction when it was socketed in Voidbringer Conjuror Gloves.

Elemental is Fire, Cold or Lightning.
PoE (lol) has neither of these tags.

lol you missed the point....I think the OP is aware of the tags, but he's questioning the rationale behind a (pretty clearly) elemental gem NOT having any elemental tags.

And if I'm wrong on that point....then I'm making it for the OP.

It is actually one of the stupidest things currently in the game: a skill that LITERALLY has "element" in the name, has stats that all individually have the "elemental" tags, but itself does NOT. Unnecessarily counterintuitive.

Yes, I think you've summed it up well. Whatever the rationale might be that has led to this situation, it doesn't make sense from any angle (to me). It isn't even just that the gem says "Elemental" in the name, but that the word literally/aptly describes the effect of the skill, which couldn't be any more "elemental" in nature. It applies to all 3 of the standard elements as defined in PoE and to their ailments.

Maybe an "Elemental" tag would be in order for a gem such as this that is quintessentially elemental in nature but to which the devs do not want to apply the Lightning, Cold, and/or Fire tags for whatever reason.

It also does not have a cluster jewel notable that allows 50% increased mana res eff, my point being they purposely try to keep this one more "difficult" to use as it's so potent (though 100% ailment immunity being easily achieved currently perhaps obviates this).

It's not really any more potent than any of the other 50% auras....I think its actually less potent than most of the others, not just because of what you wrote above, but also because it is the only aura with a FINITE effect.

Determination/Grace both scale to infinity.
Offensive 50% all scale to infinity.
Purity of Elements does not scale. Once you get to your cap....thats it, all the rest is wasted.

Also just straight up numerically: 34 resists at level 20 is a pretty darn weak effect when compared to every other aura, even some of the 10% ones.
