Viper Strike of the Mamba only applies poison every other hit (ref# 3,256,914,787)
I've 100% confirmed that Viper Strike of the Mamba only applies poison every other hit, when attacking consecutively/continously -- regardless of how low you get poison duration (via Sadism and Swift Affliction).
Which is contrary to how the skill is supposed to work... https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Viper_Strike_of_the_Mamba: " This bug is surprisingly easy to reproduce: 1) Ensure chance to poison on hit is 100% (or super close) 2) Ensure chance to hit is 100% (or super close) 3) Ensure the attack time is greater than the poison duration (link Sadism, and Swift Affliction if you need to). 4) Attack a mob twice, consecutively/continously. 5) Notice that poison doesn't apply at all on the second hit. I thought this would be hard to reproduce (in a way that the issue is obvious), but it's actually not -- if you attack a suitable mob exactly twice while paying attention to its health bar. It happens if you just swing away, too, but it's harder to track what's exactly happening with each swing when you do that (no combat log)... for me, anyways. I suspect the issue occurs because the skill checks whether the current target is poisoned at the beginning of the attack, instead of when the attack actually hits -- causing poison to ALWAYS only apply half the time when it should be applying every time when attacking the same mob consecutively/continously. That would explain what I'm seeing perfectly, anyways. Last edited by Daemonjax#0396 on Apr 20, 2024, 11:44:09 AM Last bumped on Apr 20, 2024, 11:09:00 AM
