Silence too strong with no counterplay

If im playing a build with all spells, including my movement skill, there's really no counter play to silence. We can't remove curses with flasks anymore, which at least one can do with corrupting blood. It just disables my abilities, which makes it hard to get away, and I either abandon the map, or just die through it multiple times until i kill them.

I realize one can get immunity via a corrupt implicit on a jewel, but during combat there's no real way to counter this.

uh.......you can still get "removes curses on use" on flasks. Exactly the same as any other ailment or issue.

your info piqued my interest

i read that silence is a "curse" would that mean that flasks or anything that grants curse immunity also negates silence?

as a melee-er who rarely ever uses spells, i found the description hilarious where if the player is silenced, they cannot cast spells or warcry.

makes sense you cant shout if you're silenced.

the mental imagery of an angry barbarian angrily trying to shout but cannot is hilarious to me.

Ah that is my bad for not checking life/mana flask mods. I had only looked at utility.

I should try this to see, but i worry that because it only removes on use, that ill just get immediately re-cursed anyways.

I agree that it doesnt happen a lot, but when silence does come in i can either try to run or i just die. It's not fun

you can avoid silence pretty much completely by blocking tormented spirits.

This might actually be the sole reason why shouts are SPELLS....so that silence works on them lol.

Because otherwise that particular tag makes zero sense. Just as its funny to think about a silenced barb trying to shout, so too is it funny that a stupid af barb totally focused AWAY from spells, happens to have the magical ability to cast a whole slew of spell shouts.
