Animate Guardian - Death Problematic
|
Hello GGG,
i have a Proposal for a Solution to Animated Guardians dying randomly in Concent and Losing the Uniques bound to it. Create an Omen: Consumes the omen to "save" the Last Animated Guardian. Conditions: Needs to be in the Inventory before the AG dies - no Brainer i guess optional their could be the need to bind it on the AG like an Imprint for the effect to take place Alternate version: -Will be consumed on AG Death and gives you a buff to resummon him for like X minutes/seconds - This one could persists even while changeing the Zone/ mabye even dying yourself Player Still needs to keep track of the AG Status Another version could be like: If AG dies , Consume this Omen to desummon him (Like De-Socketing the Gem) just Plain lifesaving for the AG. This Omen should be very rare , but saves you from Losing that precious gear on the AG. Keep up the good Work :) Geertings Luriken Last bumped on Apr 14, 2024, 9:14:04 PM

no....the animate guardian just simply shouldn't lose all his gear on death. There is no reason for such a massive investment to be erased when in ALL OTHER ASPECTS of the game, this just doesn't happen. It's not so absurdly powerful with even the BEST gear that this should even be a thing in the first place.
Don't color it up...call it like it is. Bad design, dated, ignored. Last edited by jsuslak313#7615 on Apr 14, 2024, 1:59:55 PM

What about an alternate Animate guardian gem that has less hp, damage and resists but drops all the equipment on the ground upon death?

AG shouldn't drop his armour at all. It should remain on the gem, or drop on the ground upon his death. The AG armour that you need tends to get pretty insanely expensive, and he tends to get sneezed on and falls over which makes any minion build absolutely infuriating to play.
Yes, I play them, my fault, but it's my way of enjoying the game. I tend to ignore AG as long as possible, and get it as late as possible because I know this is going to probably be the downhill of my game play experience which is no complaints, minus the AG. This is incredibly outdated. Just drop armour on death which can still be quite a penalty if you have no portals left, don't notice, zipping across the map (this happens a lot). -- Came back to edit. I think any bit of leeway with this would be forgiving enough to make it tolerable. I understand the "market" and doing this would completely nullify some of the items in that said market. So my thought on that would simply to delete one item from him when he dies at random, but he would likely require a user interface similar to our own inventory. Even that would be a ten fold improvement. Last edited by Aerovanthe#4698 on Apr 14, 2024, 9:54:20 PM
