Black morrigan craft not changing item

I'm not a rich person by far but invested 90% of my currency into the beasts to craft the 6 socket/link craft... i put in a 2 socketed un corrupt chest, completed the encounter and when i opened it back up after it stated complete my chest piece was still a 2 socket and it ate my beasts which i cannot afford to replace now. and I'm out of a 6 socket/link chest that i needed.

Did you do the "maximum links" craft, or the "maximum sockets" craft?

There isn't a single craft that does both.
