Abyss Depths not spawning

Hi GGG devs,

So for this league, I have decided to spec into abyss for my atlas tree. I have done so from the beginning of the league.

I have so far leveled a lvl 90 Sabetour and a lvl 93 Hierophant. I did not keep count on how many maps I have run. But I get an abyss almost every map.

I have not had a single abyss depths encounter. I am starting to feel like it is bugged and somehow just not spawning. I have "awakened depth" on my atlas tree. Any chance I can get some help to see if this is just bad luck on RNG or actual bug?

At this point, the probability of having encountered zero abyss depth is kinda insane. Can anyone help me with this? I'm in a very small Private League. So I can't get access to abyss uniques otherwise.
Or is it just one of those times where I just give up on abyss this league?

Having similar issues in Necro SC trade, ran a little over 100 maps with ~4 abysses and max chance for depths and haven't seen one. Assuming it's bugged and hasn't been addressed.

So I have fixed the problem I think. You need to allocate the whole tree near shaper/elder nodes near the top. After selecting "trail of destruction". Every abyss is guaranteed to reach 4 pits. Now I am getting depth on a more frequent bases.
Here is how I think abyss works, each pit has a chance to continue to a new pit or it stops. Since abyss depth only spawns on the 4th pits. The 4th pit gives a chance to go into a trove or depth. So, not having guaranteed 4 pits makes depth A LOT rarer of an encounter. This makes "trial of destruction" kind of a must for more chances to spawn abyss depth. it is an absolute ton of pts to farm depth. I think it needs to be redesign but I think that's how it works at the moment, I do enjoy abyss, but I really don't think it is worth the pts compared to other mechanics available.
