Bloodsoaked Gargoyle portal causing crashes - Necropolis league

I'm not sure if anyone else is having the same problem, but this new portal causes my game to crash every time I start a new map, and sometimes even just opening a portal back to town.

If anyone knows a solution, I would appreciate it.

EDIT: Forgot to add that the crash only appears to happen when I first load up the game. If I start new maps without restarting the game, the crash doesn't happen.
