T17 maps solved nothing for uber bossing

T17s was ment as a bridge between end game mapping and uber bossing thus nodes on atlas tree was removed and new uber fragments were put into the T17s. However your goal of fixing the player choises has failed somewhat. Now instead of feeling we have to sell normal fragments we feel we have to sell the T17 maps unless we are able to clear them with full map effect% to maximize fragments. This is often far far far harder than killing the actual uber bosses.

So basically we are back to the same issue. Clearing T17s is not worth it whatsoever so we don't get to do attempts at ubers without paying a huuuge entry price. Either from doing T17s suboptimally or from buying fragments from people that farm them optimally.

Sadly I think the best solution is to have T17s not be affected by atlas tree and bump up the drop rate for fragments. Only that way can they become the bridge between the non uber and uber content.

Don't get me wrong. I supre super appreciate new and tough content. Just don't let it be gatekeeper content like that.

i dont think thats what they were trying to solve.

they were trying to solve the issue that if you wanted to play the normal version of the boss you were making a mistake because the value of the entry key was based around the uber version. they were not tyring to solve a problem of people selling uber content because they were unable to beat it, ever since uber atziri people have sold their uber access because it was too hard for them, that was never an issue right?

the difference is that with atziri you didnt have to sell your normal atziri frags because you couldnt beat the uber.

did you even read my post before writing? Jeez

Beating the ubers is not the issue. Beating t17 maps with full map effectiveness on atlas tree is the issue. Have you tried it? No? Didn't think so. It is basically the same as the normal vs uber fragment issue just replace T17 with normal frags. It is not worth to do a baseline version of the T17 whatsoever compared to selling it. ERGO same issue as before...

new 3.24 atlas tree has a lot of ways to amplify the effect of map mods, not just the "hat" on the top. You can end up with more percentage amplification than old wandering path or whatever it was called and it amps the map mods like hell.

T17 map mods are pretty crazy to begin with and amped up by 75%+ it's well... not very clearable.

I tried to run some with my pen brand standard character. Ye pen brand got nerfed but this char still has insane damage, actual uber bosses still die with ease. T17 maps with amped up mods minced him lol.

i dont think its quite the same issue, that may be an issue but it is not the issue they were trying to solve.

you could roll an exarch to have 75% quant and it was significantly harder. you can roll maven invites to have 75% quant and theyre harder, and if you are not doing these things then you are not really getting the correct value from the content. in 2013 when pinnacle content was lvl77 shipyard and shrine maps you could roll them to have 75% quant, and if you didnt you were doing it wrong because the returns, the expected value was based around this.

i do think that is different to a normal boss and an uber boss which are 2 different pieces of content sharing an access key which essentially invalidates playing the normal version of the boss.

think about your solution: stop the t17 being able to be scaled. would u apply the same logic to the bosses? stop the uber version from existing in order to fix the problem? you wouldnt right? because its not 1 piece of juicable content that you believe is too hard when juiced, its 2 distinctly seperate bits of content that are aimed at different levels of players with different rewards.

i dont think its intended that t17 maps are seen as 2 bits of seperate content when vanilla and juiced, thats why the answer would be to remove the ability to juice them.

i dont disagree with wanting them to not be affected by the atlas amplifiers, i think thats probably the right thing to do. i just dont think its quite the same issue, i think they solved the problem they wanted to solve, the issue is t17 maps are just too hard because their mods can be amplified.

if the gate to the ubers is significantly harder than the ubers then thats obviously wrong.

You cannot modify a maven's writ
Uber boss fragments should drop from their non uber variant.
T17 should be fully turn in some sort of uber mapping.

How is any new guy supposed to learn uber boss battles when the entry fee is this silly?
