Eldritch Battery and Mines

While using pyro mines, ES was being used. After switching to high impact mines and hexblast, ES is no longer being used. Can someone please explain.

I may be mistaken, but you don't even have EB allocated, at least on the tree anyways.

Mines have a cost and reservation. EB can use ES to pay the cost, but it does not mitigate the mana capacity necessary for the mine's reservation.

Looking at the gems on your character, a level 17 Pyroclast Mine gem would have a base mana cost/reservation of 6, while a level 17 Hexblast with High-Impact Mines Support has a base mana cost/reservation of 14 (28 * 50%). Since it reserves a lot more mana, you might be hitting the limit on the number of mines you can place with Hexblast (based on unreserved mana) when you weren't with Pyroclast Mine.

This is actually nice to know in general, but he also did not have EB allocated at the time of my first reply. He does now so curious if they're still having an issue.
