No essence drops from "The Dweller of the Deep" - Act 1 (The Flooded Depths)

After killing the dweller of the deep once and getting the 1 whispering essence, creating a new instance of the map and killing it again doesn't reward any whispering essences.

This should not be the case because it clearly shows that monster is trapped in essence and is supposed to drop a reward.

Item Filter?

Haven't test myself, but could it be "by design" to prevent boss farming?

That would be my first thought, but its literally 1 whispering essence though, equivalent or even less than 1 chaos. It just confuses me that it clearly shows the essence being trapped but does not drop it.

People did reporting the essence did not drop in other source BTW

(I am surprised Asenath's Gentle Touch is not mentioned in the patch notes anyway, due the the mod "Enemies Killed near corpses affected by your Curses explode" that seems deleting loot )

Same here, but for me it wasn't even dwellers in the deep.

Act 3 Lunaris, just a normal rare essence encounter.

I kill, but no essence drops.

I check alt for filtered items.

Still nothing.

I have elemental proliferation, so maybe burn from a corpse killed the essence and that bricked the drop somehow?

Just like legion encounters killing each other doesn't give players xp or loot afaik?

+ Cannot get Dweller to drop an essence after creating new instances even though it clearly is imprisoned and has an essence under its banner
