Alternate ways of getting 5th map device slot

With scarabs being so important now and being able to stack multiple of the same type the pressure to get 5th map device slot is greater than ever before.
However the only way to get that slot is from Legion, so in SSF this pretty much makes this league mechanic mandatory. I'd like to see other ways to unlock this feature. Last bumped on Mar 27, 2024, 11:44:57 AM

Legion is no longer the way you get the 5th slot now. Read the patch notes.

" If you were complaining about having to do a 4-way Legion, this is NOT great news for you. Tier 17 maps are going to be much, much, much more difficult than running a 4-way DTC ever was. Even in SSF. |

" If you like fighting entry-level uber bosses, it's great news. Personally, I think it's a huge nerf. You went from going through the tedium of buying 4 legion emblems and doing an unrewarding encounter, to fighting T17 map bosses which are supposed to introduce you to uber pinnacle fights. I hope your build isn't bad, or you know how to make lots of currency, because unlocking the fifth map device slot is going to be a lot harder than previously. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!
