ATLAS reset

So I'm quite new to poe, played affliction as my first league and my character got transferred to standard. Completed all atlas challenges and somehow when I hop onto standard it gets reset. I see posts saying all I have to do is finish a t16 rare corrupted map, did that but it still didn't recover my completed atlas. I'm so confused as to whether this is intentional or if it's a bug and if I'm going to have to finish the entire atlas on standard all over again.
