Looking for RF with very big area

i planing to most likely start with pohx rf chief after a long break from rf, but i want it mostly just as a mapper, like with realy big aoe, as big as possible without needing super expensive gear, something i can work on over the course of a league or something like that, so if you guys can send me a pob or youtuber or guider or whatever that does exactly that, i would appreciate it

if it works for ssf even better, because thats what i play, but its okay if its not desgined for ssf, i can make it work myself on that regard aslong as it dosnt require headhunter or voices and stuff like that

Chieftains gets random AoE clear form his explosion ascendancy, which is way better than it looks like at 1st glance and additionally Legacy of Fury boots, which add even more explosions but are Maven only drops.

Stacking AoE nodes on the tree or gear wont be anywhere near as good as those 2 things.


Just use Pohx´s tree and you´ll be fine.

Hey OP, it's been a while since I played it but I had a mapping-only RF build before focusing on as big a circle as possible (I got practically full screen) with good movespeed. There's no crazy expensive gear in it (the Oriath's End isn't really needed, I just liked the QoL). Have a look on my profile if you like.

Character is HideoutSquatter (Ascendant).

No idea if recent league changes renders the guy broken now.

I'd run Elementalist over Chieftain if you want AoE. Heart of Destruction AoE is pretty massive, plus you get the 30% more damage against bosses.

Legacy of Fury explosions are plenty, and they are relatively cheap pretty early on in leagues (although they may be a BIT more expensive this league). You could also do Asenath's explosions if you want, with new automated wave of conviction + otherstuff.

I have not made an RF build since the BIG changes i think this league (or maybe it was last league....), but I'm sure the general mechanics are about the same just with different scaling.

thanks to the replies sofar, i likely will play the standart pohx chief version in ssf, just wanted to reach out in hopes to find something that suits me better, because i like big round things

Not gonna help with build but also will start RF but Jugg. And im thinking will be still viable?
