I used to make threads to nerf Gladiator but keeping him at 0.3% pick rate for 3 years is just lazy

I understand that the game has to have choices between good and bad options but 3 years of totems + champ/zerker + paradoxica or bone is lazy and boring.

1) Give Gladiator 50% spell block
2) Remove bonus stats from totems, compensate flat ~ 10% bonus damage from tree
3) Remove replica alberon memes
4) Buff dual-wield nodes or add stat sticks back
5) Add another rare foil to compete with Paradoxica

Melee is saved and not boring anymore.

Make Gladiator Great Again :)

My Gladiators are Resting In Standard, not waving but drowning :( I miss those builds.

They could literally just unerf it and it would immediately return to being a respectable competitive choice.

But doing that would require acknowledging mistakes. And we don't see much of that over the years.

How many overly nerfed things were ever adjusted back after GGG shot them in the head? It took years of ZiggyD lobbying for Voltaxic bow to get a single change and then another year to actually get the second buff to make it semi useful.

Right now they could put old GLadiator back, old Bloodmagic life wheels back, Old Occy ES recovery, Old Guardian Mana reserve branch, Old GLancing Blows back. Old Atziri's Acuity's Old CI More ES% Old "The Baron". Old lack of physical resistence on mobs.

Return Old EE, old Elder Bleed mod and just put lower value versions of the mod somewhere. Ground slam Call of steel... can't have one melee skill be competitive for more than a league even when its a multi button high effort build. GS: CoS was basically melee "ED contagion" with less range.

Speaking of which: Old slams. We had a couple leagues where more than 3 melee skills didn't suck as long as you didn't mind getting carpel tunnel from Piano Warcry spamming. On second thought leave this one nerfed... If thats the price of melee being semi-competitive for a few leagues then the price is to damn high.

And now we can add old bind to left click instant skills (LOL).

If you think berserker is overplayed I think you're delusional.

If you removed replica alberons builds there is no berserker besides the berserker loyalists. You could never convince someone that plays any good character to play berserker unless it was a str stacker.

Glad so bad for so long even Kissmequick is asking for buffs, truly a sign GGG should do something (this was not sarcasm)

This is gonna be a wild take, but I think it's good that gladiator has been untouched and forgotten. It means that any builds that could possibly have been thought up for it will probably remain viable. They may not be meta, but if you prefer consistent builds that don't become worthless every league, gladiator may be a comfortable base to start with.

Even more wild take: GGG should nerf and later forget all of the other ascendancies exist.

You're third point is remove replica alberons memes. That is only of the only things holding zerker together by a thread.
