Point blank vs adjacent animosity
Hello all!
I'd like to know whether I'm right that Adjacent Animosity is better on its own than Point Blank? Or is there some mechanic on Point Blank that makes it actually better? Last edited by arth1987#0616 on Mar 14, 2024, 5:34:38 AM Last bumped on Mar 14, 2024, 6:46:46 AM

Depends on the distance. If very close, then 30% more is much better than 40% increased.

Hmmm, I don't get it...
What's the difference between "more" and "increased"? Just for example: if my DMG is like 100 then PB will deal 130dmg on point blank distance, while AA 140dmg. Plus reading the description of those skills, it seems that: PB deals 130dmg on point blank distance up to 10 units, falling off to 100dmg (no-change) at 35 units and then falling off to 70dmg (-30% from 100dmg) at 120units. while AA deals 140dmg on point blank, falling off to 100dmg (no-change) at 70 units (2x farther than PB) and does not reduce dmg any further. So PB 130 to 70 while AA 140 to 100. I don't really get how PB is better... can anyone explain it to me? Or has anyone made some tests according to those skills? P.S and speaking of the distance, I'm playing Vaal Venom Gyre build so I mostly care about shotgun effect of VVG through Whirling Blades, but knowing the mechanics of those skills interests me since I'm thinking on making a small respec and picking up AA instead of PB... " Increased_Damage: All applicable sources of increased damage stack additively . More_Damage: All unique sources of more damage are multiplicative with each other. https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Damage#Damage_calculation |

Thanks, now I get it! xD
So I need to check all "more" and "inreased" dmg nodes on my skill tree. |
