Need help killing Hailrake...

solo..at level 2.

Seems the hardest part in solo races for me is mostly killing hailrake. Do you guys have any tips?

I'm not getting caught frozen or anything..it just seems like I dont have enough damage, and other monsters start funneling in too and just make it go south fast.

Continue on and come back to her.

I usually go clear the next zone, do the glyphs, then kill Hailrake before going to Fetid Pool.

Do people actually do fetid pool? sounds scary in a 1 hour race.

Problem is, I NEED the skill gem from hailrake to do anything.

haha lol. my highest level char's name is AnotherDeathAtHalerake (typo :p). I made him after i died in a race. But he died too at the end. Quite sad since i was 96th and almost at docks with still 30 minutes to go.

Go a little bit slower though the previous zone so you have lvl 3 at hailrake. Or just rush as fast as you can and start again if you fail :p.

get some coral rings. kite him till he runs out of mana, which is usually around 4~5 ice spears(in normal anyway). then run in and kill.

A lot of racers, including myself, go all the way to Ledges first, then waypoint back to Mud Flats and run back to Hailrake to kill him. You'll be much higher level then.

If you really need to kill Hailrake to progress at that level, buy a Coral Ring with your initial ID scrolls and try to get some basic Armour based equipment, then get into melee range on Hailrake so you don't get crit+frozen by the morphed Ice Spears.

THERE ARE THINGS THAT AREN'T PLAYERS THAT HAVE A MANA LIMIT?
