My Thoughts on Essences..

With the changes to itemized crafts and rares I feel like Essences are a bit dated yet still amazing and powerful. Essences are something that, in my opinion, are one of my favorite league mechanics, mechanically, but also a league mechanic I hate the most, because of how annoying to sell each essence individually is. TFT and POEstack have dramatically made selling essences easier as you can just list your entire inventory of essences and someone will just swoop them up...

-I do wish there was a way to possibly vendor recipe a few stacks of them into a box that specifically said it was a box containing x amount of stacks of that essence, so players would know it contains these essences.

Secondly, my issue with essence is actually the fact that essences can be extremely deadly relative to any enemy in the map, have more life/damage than anything else and have its rewards not scale with map difficulties.

-While I think ultimately essence monsters are in a fairly okay place, I do think they need a small nerf so more people can interact with ones that are affected by multiple essences.

-Higher tier essences should not drop in lower level maps even when corrupted. This completely undermines the ability to gain higher tier essences and makes finding essences less interesting in higher tier maps. They should at least be more common in higher tier maps.

-The last thing that is that I feel like Essences should drop Remnant of Corruptions and could use more types of essences that only come from corrupting Deafening Essences in red tier maps.

The could be amazing modifiers that people hunt for and could be an avenue for finding specific mods that are extremely rare. These essences would obviously be more rare but could have an RNG mod attached to it as well. Here are some examples I thought about.

Essence of the Triumverate:
When used on a weapon: Grants +1 to all lightning skills, all cold skills, or all fire skills.
When used on jewelry: Grants two attributes (Strength, Dexterity, or Intellect)
When used on body armour: Adds Fire, Cold, or Lightning Resist

Essence of Necromancy:
When used on a weapon: Grants +1 levels to all Minion Skills
When used on a helmet: Grants 1-2 levels to all Minion Skills
Other: Grants a random minion modifier

Essence of Influence:
All items: Applies a random <insert influence type> modifier to an item

*Note These could be essences that has a few variants, for example, a conq version, an elder/shaper version, etc. Additionally, this essence would only spawn in influenced maps, while affected by 3+ essences of Deafening, or higher, while in a red tier map, and corrupted by a Remnant of Corruption. While all of the three I mentioned would require, at least, red tier maps.
