Not sure if u're already doing it, but double corrupting is always the way to go in SSF.
It took me I think 5 temples for the 21 EA. Btw. u don't need to corrupt the trans gem. U can just corrupt the normal version and then transfigure it in the lab device. (yes u will get a 21 corrupted transfigured gem out of it) The only RNG is, if u use the guaranteed transfigure, u can't choose to not transfigure... so u might get the wrong gem version out of it. /edit: u're welcome, I guess?!
