Trickster experts, help!

Hey guys, I'm playing my first trickster build and I was wondering at what point should I allocate the chaos inoculation key stone?
How much ES is enough?

Heavily depends on your other defensive layers and what content you want to do.

If you have heavy mitigations from armor/max res then you can go with 4-5k ES. If you have low mitigation and only a bit of avoidance i'd say 6-7k minimum. If ES is your only defensive layer i'd recommend changing that or go for 10k+. Frankly, without other defenses even 10k ES feels like paper.

if I have 100% suppression and max res can I go with around 5k es?

That would depend on your physical mitigation. You need to cover all damage types. With just suppression and max res physical attacks would still shred you in seconds. If you have like 20k armor then i'd say you are good to go though that likely won't be enough to tank shaper slams and stuff like that.

They added the Ghost Dance and Ward mechanics to help with physical mitigation and getting one shotted for that type of build, since getting armour is hard to do. You can also use Arcane Cloak and the Enfeeble curse as alternatives to armour.


Edit: I looked at your build again and I'm not sure if that's going to work because the Trickster needs a lot of evasion for his defense to work right. But you are already at the top of the skill tree where there are no evasion mods available. You should at least have Void Barrier in your build, need lots of evasion + energy shield.

as i said im trying trickster for the first time so im just kinda dipping my toes into diffrent ways to make my char work and i think i will run grace+ghost dance and get the rest of evade i need with the help from escape artist.

Yeah go for it, best way to learn is to try it, let us know how it goes.

Just an FYI though, when I've played Trickster I would get a body armour with about 3000 evasion and then alocate the mod 100% increased Evasion Rating from Equipped Body Armour in one of the Evasion Mastery skills. It gives you free energy shield from the Escape Artist Ascendancy. This is what makes Trickster somewhat tanky, much tankier than playing the Assassin or Saboteur.
