Full-Unique witch build recommendations, help.
I am a new player and been enjoying the campaign a lot and have been playing with the Atlas for a while now.
I have reached the real game as many said in articles and forums and now realized the real poe is like. Playing with the witch class since many said poison srs Necro is the best and my noob self disagree. I saw some full unique builds here and there but did not see one for the witch. The full unique suited me and eased my mind. I thought of just asking before I abandoned this class and do the ones that had those unique builds. Thanks. Last bumped on Jan 17, 2024, 9:42:25 AM

So you want to play a Witch, no problem there.
What kind of playstyle do you enjoy? Your profile is set to private so I can't see your character. Did you ascend yet? Necromancer, Occultist, Elementalist? You can also look on PoeNinja.com and select your class on the top row to find some build ideas and what some people are playing the most of. Last edited by Gulch#5697 on Jan 16, 2024, 1:36:08 PM

"Full unique" builds can work for twink leveling through acts, but they're not great for endgame.
Since you mention you've been doing atlas for some time, it would be good to make your characters visible. Then say more about what you're currently trying to accomplish and why you feel an all-unique build would work better for you. |

I like anything good to be honest. I just gone with the flow of poison srs Necromancer build but it didn't suit me as my character constantly dies.
I ascended to necromancer and trying to better my minions build but it's too complicated. I don't play games for something as complicated as this as I am accustomed of just getting the gear, equip and play. It doesn't work in poe. What I am trying to accomplish in a full unique build is what I always did in many games, just playing without overthinking. |

As mentioned, for low and mid acts leveling uniques can be best or very good.
Later you are missing life and/or resists with too many uniques usualy. Though if a unique gives you something special you can't get anywhere else this can be build enabling or a good reason to use it. There are many witch builds, most are spell casters or minion masters (necro). As a caster you don't need accuracy (= hit rating). You want spell mods like faster casting and "+skill level" mods. Crit mods can be strong too if you don't follow a no crit build. So it depends what kind of damage your spells or minions do (melee/spell, ele/phys damage, ...). Usualy youu take passive nodes to support these. There are special passives for minions. Your values (key c) are not your minion values! Some minion values you can see with PoB only. So melee minions like skeleton warriors or zombies need good hit rating like player melees. If your minions should poison enemies it get's even more complicated. You can change your skills easily if you keep this portfolio of settings - else not. Knowing this makes it easier to understand a build guide and to make some changes while leveling or at end game (maps). Or you will hit a wall at L45-60 while leveling and/or later at maps. That's normal as a new player or with a new build. Even if you know some numbers from PoB you don't know if a skill/build will work in maps before you test it (especialy in red maps). That's why players follow a guide ... Another big theme is defense. But my answer is long enough without discussing that too. Last edited by Jerexil#5282 on Jan 16, 2024, 9:55:59 PM

" True enough. PoE has got to be the most complex arpg going. " An all-unique build will be simpler to gear, but it will likely die even more than your Necro. And you won't have any chance of improving it without dropping some of the uniques. If you really just want to play without thinking too much, PoE may not be the best game. Nothing wrong with that. We all like what we like. If you're willing to invest some time in learning enough to improve a build, you still have the challenge that most guides don't include a good improvement path. They might have a leveling version that will take you into early mapping, and then there will be the endgame version of the build which, in this league, could cost you 200+ divines for many builds. ZiggyD has done a nice pair of videos showing 1 and 10 divine upgrades for a version of Jungroan's Arc Trickster. But even following these will take you some time exploring the game mechanics. I haven't played in a couple of years so I have no idea whether there are any builds out there that are truly easy for new players to get into. Hopefully someone else will jump in with a thought. Good luck! Last edited by GreyLensman#5323 on Jan 16, 2024, 10:15:35 PM

SRS is like casting homing fireballs.
It feels like playing a caster. These minions don't aggro enemies so they don't tank for you. You need some def and/or a lot of damage to survive. One golem as tank is not enough. |

noone use full unique to build around, this is some misconception that brought from other game.
Some unique are good, but the most "rare" item are rare item. You hardly find exactly the same item with exactly the same mods as well as mod values. This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee. About the username: Did you know Kowloon Gundam is made in Neo Hong Kong?

" Poe might not be what you're looking for, BUT I highly recommend sticking with it and learning what rare items would make your build better. If you do learn this you would more than likely come to love this game. You don't need to "overthink" to make a good but if you want to make your own great build without following a guide then that takes a lot of time. I have 4,500 hours in this game and I still follow build guides after I get to maps. My 54 y/o brain starts to fry |
