Patch 3.23.1 fails on Macbook M1

It opens a connection, downloads a 40 MB item (patch?) and then fails. Tried removing game, redownloading mac installer, and reinstall. No luck, same result. Specifically calling the client via command line (/Users/foobar/Desktop/Path\ of\ Exile.app/Contents/MacOS/PathOfExileClient.app/Contents/MacOS/PathOfExileClient)
launches the game as expected, but gives a Login Error that a patch needs to be applied. Calling the path to the wrapper shell script launches the 40MB patch download, but fails to properly apply it. Sometimes it does this with an error report, sometimes silently. Command line feedback: " |

fyi.. VampiricDolphin has some instructions for fixing this issue here: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3447694
I followed them and it seemed to work.. however you do lose all your keybindings and other settings (sound etc..). So yea, that sucks. edit: actually I didn't lose keybindings.. just sound and loot filter settings. But at least it allowed me to login. Last edited by clickthrice#3201 on Jan 15, 2024, 10:55:47 PM
