Abyss

I use the maximum strategy to farm the abyss.

1) turn on the abyss from the map device +1 abyss
2) winged abyss scarab +2 abyss
3) compass for 1 additional abyss +1 abyss
4) Chance to encounter an additional abyss with atlass tree(random chance) .

As a result, I go to the map to clear it, I find only 2 abysses.

How it works? I should have 4 100% abyss, I have 2????

Depending on what other league mechanics are in your maps, it will cull other mechanics.

Ambush is a big one for fucking over Abyss.

Depending on the map layout, it also might just be too small to host 4 abysses assuming you have the node to guarantee 4 pits.

Harbinger supposedly is an (potentially the worst?) Abyss killer.

And GGG should fix their algorithms.

I had a map (not once) with zero other mechanics besides a single abyss (instead of 3-4). not even Deli. And it was dunes.

maybe you selected "Growing Hordes" on atlas...
if yes, you dont get anything from scarabs, only one from sextants + one from map device, and map may not spawn another one...
So total 2...

dont run that on cemetery.

thats a really small map and has a reputation, certainly among everyone ive spoken to, for just eating your extra abysses far too regularly.

either stop adding that many extra ones, save urself the money, or pick a bigger map. i was doing tropical island and then selling the cemetery maps for profit, a popular one seems to be jungle valley. some kind of big outdoor map, they still occasionally go missing but not nearly as bad as cemetery.


i ran cems for a few days and just gave up, every stream i was watching was having the same issue on cem, both my guild mates were having it, multiple people on friends list. really small map, tons of raised platforms and pits etc.
