stack size of currencies
It was a great change from 10 to 20 chaos per stack a while back but why stop at chaos orbs? You can trade a maximum of 600 divine orbs for example. Which of course can lead to problems when it comes to trading a mirror for example. Also I never understood why there are differences in the stack sizes, 10x, 20x, 30x, 40x.
My Suggestion: Increase the stacksize of all currencies to something really big like 10.000 or even 100.000 and give players the functionality to split stack sizes as needed. This would also greatly improve trading, since putting 1.200 chaos orbs or something else in the trade window in stack sizes of 10, 20 etc. is simply put really bad and leads to nothing but frustration and wasting time. But then you'd not need to buy currency tabs, so... out of the question

Still making them all 40 like armourer's scrap is a better solution.

theres a major clue in modern PoE that tells us stack sizes are too small...when an enemy erupts into literally 10 full piles of alteration orbs or other crap currency.
It's a real problem when a full stack is becoming a "base" unit. You really can't use mirror / divine "prices" to talk about stack size increases or reductions because these are fluid and matter very little to game design. But what you CAN point to is current drop rates of these currencies. There is exponentially more currency dropping now than there ever was in the past when these stack sizes were created. Stack size should evolve alongside drop rates. When I run a totally naked map, no mf, 40-50% quant rare, maybe ONE extra content...and I end up with MULTIPLE full stacks of currency every single time, then stack sizes are wrong. LOL hell no.
No incentive to buy special tabs anymore. Also there needs to be some friction. The game always had limited amount per slot. No one had a problem with it 10 years ago. I NEVER had any problems with currency trading. Mind you I do SC <-> HC swaps and NEVER had any problem doing so. There are ways to trade 600+ divines for a mirror, just don't be a lazy ass. Or find a reputable seller, give them the extra div upfront and then trade 600 div for a mirror. Heart of Purity

I am new here, and facing some problems, can I ask the question here, or have to create a new thread?

it is a problem when trading for a mirror but even if a stack size hits 20/divine what happens when its 1210 for a mirror, we have the same problem.
you just have to find a way with collat but even that runs risk however an auction house where you list a mirror for X divine and you can feed it divines that stack like they do into a currency tab would be cool. |

A more elegant solution would be to enable tab-to-tab trading. Without using your actual inventory, just currency stash tabs.
You want to exchange 5,000 alterations to 2 divines. Normally this is very off-putting, you don't want to click so many times. But with this system you engage in tab2tab trade with someone, you select the currency and amount you want to trade, the other person does the same thing and items are exchanged directly in stash tabs, without them needing to be in the player character inventory at all. It just eliminates this extra step of taking stacks from currency tab to your inv and then trading. And still requires you to buy currency stash tab. |
