Help with Mana Reservation Efficiency

So Im trying to lower the total % that my aura skills reserve.. I took one node of "8% increased mana reservation efficiency" and instead of lowering the cost of my herlad of ice, it raised it to 28% (base is 25)).

did you put your herald in a linked item? support gems raise the reservation.
