Ultimatum feedback

I LOVE ultimatum, mechanically and asthetically, i make sure to turn on the music every time, i just love it. However, I've been doing some ultimatums, even specced into ultimatum passives, tried juicing them, and not juicing them and my honest feedback is that there are several problems with them..

The first is the rewards often time feel worthless, it just feels like a worse version of Ritual in every way. Most of the time the money i've made from ultimatum involved either from selling inscribed ultimatums or the catalysts. Other than that, the rewards feel very far and few in between.

My second complaint is probably the biggest one. The affixes you apply to them. These straight up brick the runs entirely. Most of them feel pretty okay to deal with..

-The corrupted blood/bleed one doesn't feel bad if you invest into life.
-The cold explosion ones feel fine because you run near them and then dodge them
-The fire skulls aren't terrible either as you can run near them and dodge them after they fire
-The miasma cloud is scary if you don't have high chaos res, but usually isn't too much of a problem.
-The invuln totem that does the aoe pulse for x% of your life, not terrible, mitigated through regen, leech and flasks.
-Curse reflection can be scary if you apply curses on hit, but ultimately, not terrible.
-Flasks that hinder on use, not much of a problem if you bring hinder immunity or have methods of just dealing with a small movespeed loss.

The problem becomes when it repeatedly rolls mods that outright brick your character entirely, basically having no counter play, having very little reward combo'd with their functionality.

-The lightning runes are RIDICULOUSLY overtuned. They provide ZERO counterplay, they persist in the arena essentially infinitely, after a few seconds of being in the rune, which this timer persists as you leave the runes, outright destroys you as they finish. The damage they do is RIDICULOUSLY overtuned. Most of the time my failed ultimatums are literally this mod because you're dodging, doing everything perfectly, then because you had to dodge something else the rune finally triggers, even at rank 1, just one shot my character. Just absolutely insane, i can't believe this damage is considered "fine". It's like you just went and said "ya here's this circle stand in it for 3 seconds total and you die"

-Monster hits can't be avoided. Excuse me, what? Yea sure, if you have physical mitigation after awhile you're just straight up going to die if they have any extra modifiers on them.

-you and minions deal no damage for 8 seconds, every 8 seconds. What?

-flasks gain no charges, sorry i don't have a mageblood like every other rich person in this game

-literally any mod that has the mod that i forget what it's called right now, that if you get hit by it x amount of times you lose. This is just stupid.

TLDR, ultimatum feels terrible to invest in, it feels unrewarding, and extremely too punishing to the point that you can't enjoy such a great themed league mechanic because the mods are just overwhelmingly difficult for no reason, and the rewards feel so bad. I want to love the mechanic, i just can't, and it's one of the few mechanics in the game, like soul eater that just shouldn't exist. You should have just buffed metamorph's quant/rarity mods in Tane's lab and never brought back Ultimatum.

Also want to add that spawn rate of monsters is so dull most of the time.
