Can't take reflected phys but take impale damage

I can't be sure as i haven't been able to recreate it strategically. However, I did a expedition log book and my slayer has ascendency node that prevents taaking reflected physical damage however I am seeing impales stack. I have played slayer cyclone a lot over a long time and that has never happened before OR it is an occasional bug that I missed prior.

Thank you. I may have noticed this once before and forgot this whole thing. This game has been out for so long, I'm discovering things I already knew didn't work. I guess I was under the impression you can't have a debuff of 0 value. Like if you are shocked for less than 5% it doesn't show? Like that. Anyway, thanks for the reply.
