Curse Limit and Mechanics
Suppose two players are in a party together:
Player #1 has a curse limit of 4. Player #1 has 3 curses active through Blasphemy Support. Player #2 has the default curse limit of 1. Will Player #2 be able to apply a curse with Mark on Hit Support given that enemies are already affected by 3 curse auras, which (according to the wiki) take priority over the Mark on Hit Support, and which exceed Player #1's own curse limit? Let each player choose which version of PoE to play: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-post/24770192 Last bumped on Dec 24, 2023, 11:55:32 AM

Curse auras will keep overriding other source of curses, using curse limit from the aura source. In your example, #2 cannot apply whatever curses he has to a mob in range of auras from #1.
If #1 had 3 self-cast curses used on a mob instead of auras, #2 would remove them all and apply his mark/hex, with his own curse limit. Curse limit does not stack in party, whoever casts last uses his limit. One case I don't know is if several players have different curse auras on them, no idea how exactly the resulting effective curse would be chosen per given mob. It's a little sad thar curse auras rank higher in priority than self casts or curse on hits. I think it would make sense for "auto curses" to rank lowest. But it is how it is.
" According to the wiki, enemy curse limit is set by the highest curse limit in the party, but each player can't exceed their own individual limit. I would have thought that your example would result in only the oldest curse being removed/replaced. I guess there's a reason that I find curse interaction mechanics a bit confusing.
