No connected map drops in Museum w/ 100% Connected Map chance, Wandering Path & Shadow Shaping

Hello, I'm pretty confident I've found a bug in connected map drops when running 2 Voidstones (Grasping and Omniscient) in SSF in the Museum map (it may affect other maps, but that is the only map I've tested enough to have any confidence in my conclusion). When I remove the two Voidstones, connected maps drop as expected. That is, nearly every time I run a map with my Atlas setup (described below). When the Voidstones are present, however connected maps do not appear to drop. Background I'm playing a Boneshatter Jugg in SSF and am trying to farm a Profane Proxy for my next character. This involves target farming the div card The Penitent in Cage. So I'm using 6 Favoured map slots in conjunction with Shadow Shaping to ensure only Cage can drop when I run the Museum map (I have no had Putrid Cloister drop yet, but would also be happy if it dropped instead of Cage). The favoured maps I have slotted are: - Plaza - Maze - Lava Chamber - Ghetto - Crater - Plaza (again) Based on the 3.23 Atlas layout, this should give me what I'm after. In conjunction with Wandering Path and enough small nodes, you can also ensure that a connected map will almost always drop by accumulating 100% in connected map drop chance nodes. I say almost always because in this thread https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3418126/page/2 Jatin mentions that two things might prevent you from getting a connected map to drop: " Testing Methodology I first noticed there might be a problem after I slotted my Voidstones. Prior to that as I was unlocking my Atlas, connected maps were dropping as expected. Then they suddenly stopped when the Voidstones went in. To test if I was just imagining things, I ran 10 copies of Museum, alternating between running a map with the Voidstones and without. After completing a map and swapping Voidstones, I restarted the client. I took screenshots of my inventory at the end of every full clear. The results were: With Voidstones in: no connected maps dropped in five full clears of Museum in SSF. No Voidstones in: Cage dropped 4 times out of 5 full clears. No maps dropped in the fifth clear. I assume a rare converted the map as noted by Jatin, since I didn't see any Tormented Spirits during those runs. While 10 maps is not enough to conclude anything for certain, I noticed this behavior many maps prior. If I had even one connected map drop when running Museum with Voidstones in, that would have been enough for me to update my prior. Happy to do more testing if needed. Happy Holidays everyone. Another potentially notable bit of weirdness:
I restarted the POE client each time I removed or added the Voidstones back into the atlas. On one occasion when I logged back in I checked the Atlas to be sure of what type of run i was doing and saw this: ![]() image hosting I restarted the client and the Atlas was back to normal. Will do some more testing with just one Voidstone in today. |

Ok, I'm quite sure this is a bug now, and not specific to Museum.
I ran another 6 Cell maps. 5 of the runs were with one voidstone (Omniscient). In 4 of the 5 full clears with 1 voidstone, no connected maps dropped. Museum dropp on the fifth. Also worth noting that other maps are dropping "special implicit modifiers" as described in Shadow Shaping, so that part of the node is working fine. It's certainly interesting that one map did drop with a voidstone. You might think that changes the math, but if we assume conservatively that 20% of the time a map would not drop even if the mechanic was functioning correctly, the probability that my results did not happen by chance is actually overwhelming (0.0004096% prob that this would happen by chance alone). And I imagine the actual probability of a map not dropping with 100% connected map drop chance is lower than 20%, making it even more improbable to have just one drop out of 10 trials. The 6th Cage map was run with no voidstones, and Museum dropped as expected. I removed any Notable skills just in case there was an interaction there causing an issue. Hopefully this can get sorted. One thing that occurred to me was that I downloaded the content.ggpk torrent prior to league launch to speed up my login time. Could this be an issue in any way?
I relaunched the client to make sure I was up to date, and then renamed the old content.ggpk file and re-launched the client and let it download a new content.ggpk file. I figured both files would be the same, but they have different sizes. ![]() Unsure if this matters or not, but I'll test another few maps and see. |

Three full clears of Lava Chamber with the following maps favoured (w/ Shadow Shaping), 2 Voidstones, and no connected maps dropped (looking for Cage):
- Plaza - Maze - Museum - Ghetto - Crimson Temple - Volcano So no change. Am I the only one having this issue? Super weird if so. |
