Hunt for the crow, maybe i can find her here..

I think this quest is bugging out on me. Any ideas how to reset the quest? There is no morrigane black... must be a legendary quest? Is there a way to increase the chance with quality and map mods?

Seems to be super rare. People reporting hundreds of resets before success.

One reported suggestion is to try in Desecrated Chambers (Act 10) for better odds, but I have also seen people reporting that dozens or even hundreds of those yielded nothing and they finally found it in a map. (There doesn't seem to be a tier requirement...)

I'd guess it doesn't really matter where you look. Just rare.

Also seen people saying they followed blue, or purple, or nothing at all.

I’ve run into this thing quite a few times - it’s pretty common. I’ve also encountered its arena and had to search for it.

If you follow blue wisps you will sometimes encounter a large circular structure(I think it looks like dried branches but my memory may be incorrect on this detail) with entrances on each of the cardinal directions. This particular mini-boss is either in the circle or around the edges of the circle. I believe it’s supposed to spawn in the center but moves for some reason.

Statistics are tricky. To play with some numbers, call "common" a 20% chance to find on any given attempt and "rare" a 1% chance...

Then take the number of players expected to find it on their first attempt, or even several attempts in a row, if the odds are 1%, and compare that to the number of players expected to fail in 100 straight attempts if the odds are 20%...

Given the rough size of the player pool at league start, and assuming a fairly small fraction have gotten to this point, the first scenario would expect to see quite a few players, while the second would not expect to see any.

Since there are actually quite a few players reporting both, there are two possibilities consistent with the statistics. Either the odds are indeed quite low, and the expected number of lucky players exists, or there is a specific requirement gating this mechanic and a certain percentage of players is failing to meet it.

We don't seem to have identified the missing requirement yet, which doesn't mean there isn't one. But PoE players are pretty smart; the more time that goes by without it being found, the less likely there is one.

I ran the wildwood portal in the Act 10 Reliquary until I found her. Didn't have to be in maps for her to spawn.

just did about 100, following blue wisps, no luck. seen tons of other bosses and everything else. has to be bugged, or they are just sadistic.

I'd guess the find rate is just low - something like 1-3%. At those odds, it's not hard to go 100 attempts for no result. Whether those odds on a progression quest are good design is another question. :-)

an update for me, after another 25 or so after I posted this, I got it. Then I got the next and final quest. Since that time, he has appeared in aboout 1/3rd of all my runs. Which is probably what it should be in the first place.

I assume you don't need a quest to find him again and he drops the same loot? In that case 1/3 chance is great for anyone who needs a couple of his items in SSF.

I just found it in an Act 7 instance of the Wildwood, so it doesn't need to be in Act 10. Just a matter of chance finding it
